Monitoring Summaries

PSPP Water Monitoring Summaries Now Available!

The Montana Pesticide Stewardship Partnership Program (MT PSPP) collects surface water samples in rivers and streams in the Columbia River Basin portion of Montana, which spans twelve counties in the northwest. These samples are tested by our partner labs for up to 102 pesticides and pesticide degradates.

The purpose of these summaries is to provide an overview of the presence of confirmed pesticides in Montana’s surface waters. Please contact PSPP Staff if you have further questions or concerns, would like to learn more about the data, or would like to get involved by volunteering with us.

MT PSPP began monitoring in 2025 and will monitor for four years through 2028.

Types of Summaries Available

2025 Annual Summary

2025 County Summaries

  • An overview of all analytes detected within each county PSPP monitored in 2025, excluding Lewis and Clark County*, organized by waterbody

  • Ex: Flathead County Summary; please see below for all other counties

Site-Specific Summaries

All 2025 summaries are available below; 2026 summaries will be released when available.

The frequency of sampling in each county can affect the likelihood of detections. No detections for a particular analyte in a particular county does not mean the analyte is not present in that county.

*There have been zero detections in Lewis and Clark County. PSPP does not sample frequently in Lewis and Clark County; therefore, our data are limited, and many rivers and streams are unrepresented.
