Kendyl joined FLBS in May 2026 as a Master’s student advised by Dr. Rachel Malison. She is studying how pesticides affect and shape our food webs using field sampling, aquatic biota community analysis, and ecotoxicology experiments. Kendyl is originally from Ohio, where she graduated with a B.S. of Environment and Natural Resources from Ohio State University. Kendyl has held numerous macroinvertebrate and aquatic ecology positions before beginning at the University of Montana. Between her studies, Kendyl enjoys hiking, climbing, running, mountaineering, and exploring the impressive Montana wilderness.
