I am a microbial ecologist in the Church Lab. I am broadly interested in understanding how  microorganisms cycle nutrients in lakes and oceans. I often leverage time series measurements to understand how the distributions of microorganisms and nutrients change temporally. I like all microbes and therefore work on a number of systems: Flathead Lake, the North Pacific Subtropical Gyre, glacial lakes, and even the deepest ocean trenches.
