Graduate Student - Ecology & Evolution
Rachel joined the FLBS in August 2025 as a master’s student under the advisement of Dr. Bob Hall. She obtained a B.A. in Biology and Environmental Studies from Augustana University in Sioux Falls, SD. Her past projects included the funded mitigation of an urban wetland as well as an undergraduate publication in AIS with the SD Game, Fish and Parks. Currently, Rachel is focused on understanding biogeochemical cycling within the aquifers of the Nyack Floodplain on the Middle Fork of the Flathead River. While in NW Montana, she plans to pursue photography and the abundance of hiking trails while hanging out with her betta Alfredo at home.
