Madelyn joined FLBS in January 2023 as a Big Sky Watershed Corps member serving with the Crown Managers Partnership (CMP), a volunteer partnership for federal, state, tribal and provincial natural resource managers across the Crown of the Continent (comprised of northwest Montana, southwest Alberta, and southeast British Columbia). During her term, she increased capacity for the partnership and worked collaboratively with many experienced scientists and agency managers in the Crown of the Continent Ecosystem. In January 2024, Maddy began working as the Conservation Priorities Coordinator for CMP, and is currently coordinating work on important conservation priorities across the Crown of the Continent Ecosystem.

 

Prior to being an FLBS employee, Maddy grew up in Ohio. She made her first move out west in the summer of 2022 to Jackson, WY to work on the National Elk Refuge, and she’s stayed in the mountains ever since!
