About the Freshwater Research Laboratory at FLBS
The Freshwater Research Lab (FRL) is an ecosystem science facility providing both grant/contract and fee-for-services analytical service.
As a research support facility, FRL works closely with scientists and grad students to develop novel experimental and analytical methods in support of progressive and competitive research initiatives and encourages students to inquire about taking an active role in learning the analytical techniques used to generate scientific data. We are always excited to help with new research questions whether for research or contract-based analyses.
We use the newest lab equipment available, thanks, in part, to a full upgrade of our analytical equipment and management tools made possible by a grant from the M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust.
The FRL offer the following analyses on water, soil, air, biological, and radiochemical samples across a large spectrum of matrices from precipitation to wastewater. Other analyses are available upon request. We strictly adhere to approved methodology and quality control procedures and participate in federal and international auditing programs to ensure high quality data.
