Madelyn is originally from Ohio, and received a B.S. in Environmental Geography from Ohio University. She made her first move out west in the summer of 2022 to Jackson, WY to work on the National Elk Refuge, and she’s excited to be back in the mountains!

Maddy is currently serving with the Crown Managers Partnership (CMP) which is a volunteer partnership for natural resource managers across the Crown of the Continent (comprised of northwest Montana, southwest Alberta, and southeast British Columbia). She will be doing communication and outreach work for CMP, as well as assisting other BSWC members and Flathead Lake Biological Station employees on various projects throughout the year such as AIS sampling, creating GIS maps, and participating in volunteer activities in the area.

In her free time, you can find Maddy hiking, watching her favorite shows, going to trivia and open mic nights, missing her dog, or searching for the best coffee shops and farmer’s markets in town!
