I currently supervise the analytical operations at FLBS including management of the University of Montana, Freshwater Research Laboratory (FRL). I specialize in instrumental analysis of biogeochemical samples and maintain an active role in supporting the various research initiatives at FLBS and UM.  My past research and professional experiences have allowed me to work across a spectrum of environments with interdisciplinary research teams affording me to fill my toolbox with a diverse set of resources.  I greatly enjoy developing or improving laboratory and field analytical techniques and instrumentation to meet the new and exciting research questions today’s scientists are exploring. Furthermore, I love working with students and teaching them about the amazing tools they have available to learn about the world around them and mentoring the next generation of scientists.

In my free time, I am enjoying raising my young family in the beautiful Flathead Valley, trekking the endless terrain, playing soccer, sneaking out for a round of golf, and a rare moment of peace and quiet with my beautiful wife.
